ABOUT ME
When we were married in 1999, we had no idea what God had in store for our lives! We jumped into ministry and watched God use our passion for people and making disciples in Wisconsin, California and then finally in Arizona. Working first in Student Ministries, it became clear that God had placed on our hearts the place that missions could play in transforming lives of those we were ministering to. In 2006, the church we were currently serving at, Sun Valley Community Church, asked us to step out of Student Ministries and into the world of Missions.
Little did we know that this adventure would change our lives so dramatically! We began watching God expand the impact of the ministry beyond the walls of Sun Valley, and in the process we began to see a concerning trend: Most pastors we interacted with had received little training for ministry, and were not investing on discipleship in their ministries. As our burden for this began to increase, we began a ministry of Sun Valley called Foundations Global to provide free training to pastors and their leaders, as well as free discipleship material, translated in their own language. This ministry expanded to a point that it became clear that it required more focused attention.
God miraculously opened the door for us to join with Developing Workers to see the ministry grow and expand to new countries and languages. Foundations is now working in 14 countries, in seven languages. With new languages and countries coming online we believe that it is our mission to end discipleship poverty!
